Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Sooooo... Any chance that Ardgutz triggered an ambush or scared the piss out of any of the bad guys?
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Yes. I'm trying to do things up between the kids going to bed and me going to bed. Not having much luck.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Ok, I'll get the stats and stuff up as soon as possible. My daughter is asking for the PC again.
They start school Sept 4 and then we should be back to the usual schedule.

This is going to be a mess...excellent.
Shall we roll initiative then?

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
I guess so, simple roll I bet. I can't cause terror in a servitor as far as I know.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
For this to get going again I think it would be nice to have Lighthawk back. If anyone can reach him please do so.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
If we can't then I do have an idea for a similar campaign, if people are not afraid of becoming renegades and probably heretics.

Heretics, you say? Hmm...

Indeed. Fuck the man, there's booty to be had, want to disappear, this ship might be for you.
Though intially we'd be on what is little better then a Warp capable cutter.

Hell, if we had a mondo ship and cushy lives, we wouldn't be doing whatever we're doing.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
We could just NPC his characters and then bring Mikey in on our current mission. Mikey is rather handy on 40k stuff.

I haven't even had a chance to look at the last mission you guys were on, but if you wanted I'm sure I could get up to speed pretty quick, and depending on which rule set I have a few chars waiting for life so I could probably slot into LH's party role without too much disruption.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
I thought more of adding you in due too the mission rather than just forcing you into the group. Maybe a rescue or a counter play. We didn't get very far so it shouldn't take you long to catch up.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
NP, whatever the majority rules. Is it the RT: "Hastier" thread on this forum?

Using the regular RT rules? I'll take a look and start to think of what sort of character would fit.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
You do play a good Eldar as well as Astartes. However I'd be interested in seeing how your Inquisitor characters can pan out.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Sounds good... are there RT career paths somewhere for an Inquisitor track?

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Was I running this, or was Deep?
It's easy enough to have Mikey's Big I character meet us, we're on the fringe in a derelict...station?
All kinds of bad things might lurk about that the Inquisition might be interested in.

I thought I had heard about Interrogator or full Inquisitor paths as Ascended careers in one of the RT supplements that I've never read, but I haven't seen any rules with my own eyeballs. As to the other suggestions: I don't think there are any rules for Eldar careers (though if there are I'd take a long look,) and one Astartes in the part is probably more than enough.
If we do want an Inquisitor - probably a junior rank like Interrogator or Explicator to follow fluff - I'm sure I could hammer something together pretty neatly from an extant DH or RT path. I'm not going back right now to read through the whole OOU set-up thread, so am I correct in thinking we have both rulesets to use for char creation?

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
I think you were running it... I could even check later on this evening and see if there's a junior Inq homemade path on Dark Reign or something. If not, there's a fan-made commissar path that might do with a little tweaking.
