Nah it's OK, I re-rolled as a Scum (metallican gunslinger) which fits the Josey Wales-esque character better.

I was even typing that but I wasn't sure so I erased it. But I do believe thats in Arbites list which starts you with good armor so you could use both your picks for melta pistols.

I admit I don't know what a Metallican Gunslinger is... sounds like Adept of Mars...

It's in the Inquisitor's Handbook. Basically a dedicated pistol fighter, to the extreme that any other weapon is used at a penalty from Gunmetal City.

It has all the relevant talents to be a duel pistol fighter at level one. Which leaves lots free for other skills.

But a dual pistol wielder at level one is pretty sick. Just dump your left over Exp into the BS trait to start and you're raping.

There Josey in a playable state is up. Metallican Gunslinger loses me the Pistol (melta) trait and melta but I think dual hand cannons makes up for it, especially with the manstopper rounds.

He also has training for a bolt pistol and I'm working on his back story.

Backstory!

Plan was that I would dock at a port (that you would name) and pick up crew. Tsu's newer character is going to be our Bard. Does the hiring, does the fancy talking, deals with the high borns. That way people's opening post would be a simple character pace setter.

How they react to showing up at the ship and finding out their captain is an Astartes and his bodyguard is an Ork with the ship's first mate being a vice induced Priest.

Constantine is up. So now we have two dual-weapon users.

Well having skilled fighters on board is rather important. Because if you can't stand in a fight, you won't live long on this crew.

Aaron, make us an IC thread and I'll post up the intro for the ship.

As I know now the crew on board is the follow... Eigneh Degloch, Haxta, Ardgutz Longteef and Constantine. They will be on board and can intro themselves. The rest will RP their joining the crew.

Quick question/idea about the ship: considering it's size, it should be pretty fast/maneuverable, but it won't survive a single hit without some sort of armor.

What RT stats are we going with for the ship? What is it's backstory?

I have a few ideas.

RT stats would be...probably so low as not to register. This thing is barely longer then Eisenhorn's cutter and even though it has warp engines...

Well, I was thinking that if it was a truly ancient ship, from the dark age of technology, that was maybe forgotten somewhere for thousands of years and then recovered (by someone who doesn't recognize it's value), it could have at least, as you say, stats that register.

Maybe something like

Speed: 16
Maneuverability: +40
Detection: +20
Hull Integrity: 1+3
Armor: 4
Void Shields: 1

Bridge of Antiquity
Armour Plating
Reinforced Interior Bulkheads
Modified Jovian Pattern Class 1 Drive
Ancient Life Sustainer
etc.

So that we can at least survive a single hit, and hopefully evade or outrun enemies most of the time.

An ancient ship would also make us a target for people and groups that do recognize the design as archeotech, which would add some extra conflict. Nothing wanked out, just enough to keep us from getting blasted out of the void by the first hostile ship.
