Firefly-esque WH40K? - Page 15 Empty Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?

We've always done a hodge podge of RT and DH rules, it suits us better. But in this game I'm pretty sure we started off with the DH characters levelled up to the RT careers, as the latter start off more capable. And the careers are supposed to be interchangeable.

I think Deep and Lighthawk had a plan and I was just providing the enemies and some firepower. It's been over a year so...lets see what happens.

You could make a totally custom character for an interrogator as well. Pick and choose your origin and then skills and stuff from the lists and XP pool. Take enough XP to put you at a similar level to us.

Well I think our plan was to kill everyone who didn't surrender.

I'll see what's what. IIRC, we're doing RT chars levelled up to rank 2, or DH chars +6000 XP, yes?

Looks like it. So I'm going to say yes.

If your overpowered compared to the rest, then there are ways around that.

You've been promoted to combat servitor! Report to augmentics for your lobotomy and power claw.

Seriously though, when you've worked up your pc, send me a pm. I have an idea.

A lobotomy? Really? I've always wanted an intelligence upgrade.

OK, I found the old Dark Reign commissar career path and it looks workable for a junior inquisitor, just have to swap some Lore skills for different Lore skills and swap some starting equipment for similar-level kit. I tried to post the download, but the page is gone from darkreign.org and it seems linking to my cloud isn't working. After the kids go to bed I'll see about posting at least the starting career and first couple of rank schemes, and PM a character work-up if I can get to it tonight.

Oh its just an idea of how to insert your character, you don't need to pm me your sheet.

Actually, post it here so we can all check it out.

Alright, IDK if my PM's are going thru yet or if I have to wait a few more days like I have to wait to post a link. Anyway, Aaron - PM me your idea, 'cuz it might help me make some background, skill and talent decisions. Rather than sit and write out advance schemes, I figured I'd use the commissar scheme from Dark Reign, include the Legate Investigator scheme from DH: Inquisitor's Handbook, and just get your authorization for any replacements that seemed to make sense.

I've answered.

My wife has expressed interest in joining to play, so I'll Shepard her through that and insert her in the game. Possibly with Mikey

Sounds good, last place I left things was my Astartes standing at the ready to fire and my Ork charging the hall.

I was thinking the same thing. Or, I could just have you "taken in" and take your power sword. How'd you swing getting that AND the force field? I tried like hell to figure out getting the rosarius and a power sword, but I couldn't figure out how to buy the sword and... well, and anything else at all.

Heh. The force field was my freebie. Power sword I purchased, I think.

Yeah, kit basics allow a freebie, it's where I got my terminator armor.

I know, it's how I got the rosarius - normally 25,000 thrones. Other than the freebie, though, I thought we got one Very Rare item and the rest Scarce or easier, all at normal cost, and 1500 thrones. I'll go back through the thread and double-check.

I might be in error, I was kitting out my char between swimming lessons, homework, and softball practice. Mondays I'm lucky if I remember how to tie my shoes.

BTW, are we costing gear from the RT book in order to purchase? I haven't actually looked to see if there was any RT gear that I wanted which wasn't duplicated in DH... but if there was, could I ask for a dollar value in order to buy it?
