General discussion

Post by Tsukiyumi on Fri Oct 02, 2015 1:59 am

I figured we could post things about what we decide for weapons, ships, and general ideas here.

A technical, probably a speeder
A walker or two. AT-PT?

Well, I'm assuming my boss is gonna either claim one or the street value of one. I haven't decided if we'll keep the other or sell it. I've mocked up som specs, in the absence of any published ones, and it ain't too powerful... but it does fold up for easy storage.

Yeah the Vultures were cheap and fragile but they could fetch a fair price for private collectors.

So, can we add mods to weapons without having the mechanic skill, or would I need one of you guys to roll for that?

You can buy the attachment as long as you have a free hard point; to add one of the mods listed under the attachment you need to make a mechanic skill roll.

Hmm. If you don't have the skill, you roll for the associated stat, right?

Also, I'd like to do a Perception check in the med bay to see what I spot. My Cunning is at 2, and Perception is at 2, so I think that upgrades the two Ability dice to Proficiency dice. I'm not sure about the difficulty, though.

I couldn't find a ruling on that in the book; Aaron let me do so with a Stealth roll, but I was willing to forego it. I think he only let me do so because the thing I was trying to sneak up on was a flock of animals who were completely uninterested in me and no skill check would have been needed anyway. In future, I prob won't be asking to make any skill tests for skills I don't have. If you need a Mechanics task done for the Nikto, Petey will help. If you need one done for the doctor, Petey will help for a fee.

Yeah, there was just a flock of mynocks, but they appeared to have a weird parasite or symbiont attached. I didn't stun one because I didn't know if it would interfere with any study to be made.
