Aaron wrote:Reliant man, are you planning on humping all those lasgun mags? Cause you can sell them off if you want, we're assuming that the ship always has enough. Plus they can be recharged.
Firefights in DH don't usually last long enough to need more then one reload anyways.
I only went for Las guns pecause, from what I can see in my skills, I can only use a lasgun or a SP. I thought you needed to have at least some proficiency with other weapons, something a psyker hasn't got on the cards. (At least, a scholastic psyker such as this).

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
He means the amount of ammo you are carrying is alot for your guy. He may be slowed down because of the weight. Three or four mags is normally all you'll need. Five or six if you're worried about a running battle.
BTW, still have the extra Astartes Bolt Pistol if someone wants it.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
I can remove the ammo and spend it on something more useful when I get back later.
Bike in for its first service. Yay, £40 for an oil change and maybe a few bolts getting tightened.

Remember, ammo is free.
I'll write up the Marine bio tomorrow along with the Ork character sheet.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
We really could use a techy of some kind.
Between the ship, shuttles, ground craft, my armor and whatever else people pick up on the way. Fixing things will be a handy bit of kraft.

I think Lighthawk put a bid in on a mechanic. The medic was a secondary if needed.

I've rectified the ammo issue. Bit more armour and another gun, never hurts to have a back up.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
According to the rules in place for Orks, I have to have the permission of the players and GMs to create an Ork character. Normally I wouldn't care about asking but because I already have a rather tough character I felt its warranted.
So, would someone else like to take the Ork so that they have a tough character?

You already have my permission. However if anyone is concerned about this, speak now.

So long as Deep understands his role as meatshield, I have no problem with it.

I know, but its a rule so I figured I'd let everyone know.

I'm good with that, but I'm already the tank so I wanted to leave some room for others if they wanted.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Aye. I'm fine with it as long as he's kept away from important machinery

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
lol, it might be an idea to just have one go ashore at a time. Depending where we are we may not want an Ork fumbling around.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Orks don't really fumble... they just aren't polite in the "I take what I want" deal.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
A few questions on character creation, as well as making sure I've gotten all the special rules for this game accounted for
Items: 1 Very Rare or lower, the rest Scarce or lower, plus a freebie. What exactly qualifies as a freebie?
Ammo: Always have three mags per weapon when leaving the ship
XP: 6,000 for DH character. Do we have to spend XP within the levels it would have been earned in? Or can we just put it anywhere so long as we qualify for the advance?
Money: 1,500
I miss anything?

As long as you take at least one advance per rank, I don't much mind what you do with it.
Freebie: one of whatever you want.

Sounds more than fair

Ich danke Ihnen. Might not have the potential of the AA, but a Tech-Priest can be quite the bruiser.
