Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
I don't think so.
I'll use my Scum's left over 950 for things we're missing. And my budding two guns (Johnny Two Guns?) will probably be an Arbitrator will will give us some investigatey type skills.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
lol, with Arbitrator I can just squeeze in Pistol Training (Melta) and duel wield a laspistol and an inferno pistol. Might be a little over the top?

Really? You're asking that question when your captain is a Terminator with a cyclone six shooter, Chainfist, Stormbolter and great axe??? Are you really going to ask if two pistols are over the top?
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
lol right then.
The scum has picked up a silencer (freebie) and some skills that might be relevant; scrutiny, intimidate, inquiry, deceive+10.

Another character with intimidate...
We are going to be the terror of anywhere we set down.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Alright, looks like I'm sticking with what I have. Dual wielding chainswords is interesting, but it would cost me too much to get due to the damn agility requirements, which is the worst stat to improve for Tech-Priests.
Might still tinker with some of my choices though

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
I fully plan on sending us on very dangerous missions so that we can build up Exp quickly. Be thankful you're not starting with my Exp level... lol
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
The two gun arbites is up in his basic form. Will tweak over the evening.
I should be at the range tomorrow so nothing gameplay related will happen before Saturday.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Works for me. Tsu and Reliant are both considering second characters and I'll be at the races tomorrow and saturday.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Character updated, replace Mechinator Array with Cybernetic Resurrection, added backstory.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Question: is the vehicle-mounted heavy stubber the one with 200 rounds or the one with 40?
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
If you go with that, I'll take Heavy Weapon Training (Flamer) to use the vehicle weapon.
I get a free weapon skill, so I was going to have him work the vehicle weapon.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
I don't need it, both my guys are pretty well armed already. I was making that hint for someone else to take them.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
I'm alright taking on a second character if people want. An assassin or an Adept is fine with me. Maybe a cleric, not that I can think of a place for an uber religious zealot.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Well we're Renegades, sure as hell not sanctioned by anyone so I think there is room for a priest who maybe uses his faith as a cover for unsavory activities.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
If no one else takes the stubber, I'll spend my first 100xp earned for the training for it.

That's almost where I'm aiming.

Yeah, he's like an instrument-playing Shepard Book, except he doesn't have a problem with killing.
He's got all the right skills to get us in the door with high-end clients, he can fight, and he's rather religious.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
I'm going to drop the two gun thing, cause it imposes a -20 to a BS check. Still gonna keep the pistol fighter thing though. Maybe a Josey Wales inspired character.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
You need to take two-weapon wielder and Gunslinger. Gives you a -10 rather then -20.
Follow that up with Deadeye and Sharpshooter. You're calling headshots with dual pistols without penalties.
Thats where you want to be.
