Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
I feel the need to point out that the Ork setup is just purely horrible. Some of the traits, skills, talents and weapons aren't even in the book!
"You get these and can take there but we won't tell you what they do"
EDIT
Orky is up so I'm good to go.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Hmmm. I forgot entirely about the skill advances. I might exchange the odd skill for that. How much are each advance worth?

Okay, added stuff in.
And I apologise for whenever I edit it, accidentally quoting.

Don't sweat it man.
I just remembered I have yet to take my freebie and I have about 900xp left. So I'm gonna look through the books and see if I can find some more useful skills today.

Hey Deep, I know Ork aren't exactly the smartest guys in the galaxy, but I'd think your guy there would at least have an Int score, even if it is bad.

I forgot the freebie as well. Man, for smart people, we sure seem to forget a lot.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Okay, all better. I'm glad I have the 6000 exp... otherwise the ork starting characters are crap.
Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
I think I'm going to redesign some of my character to better fit the backstory I came up with. Would it be acceptable to use our 1 very rare/rare item option to buy a matched pair? I'd like a pair of chainswords.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Some of them are quite stabby. The Secutor path is pretty much devoted to killing.
Damn it...now I want to make a gunfighter that dual wields pistols.

They have the same advancement cost for WS that they do for BS, and I can pick up some strength bonuses from several sources for extra damage.

Do it, flavor makes the game interesting
But yeah LH, if you think you can pull it off, go ahead.
Awesome, thanks

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
So what positions do we have filled?
Mechanic: Lighthawk
Pilot/Navigator: Reliant/Tsu
Thief: Me
Muscle: Deep

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Then do it fool.
BTW, I came up with an opening for the RP.
(idea) The ship is docked at local off-the-books port with notice of crew wanted. Tsu is writing up the character that will do the hiring.

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
I think a priority would be a medic...what class would that be? I'd think either an Adept, Cleric or a techpriest but I don't know which.
Anything else do we need?

Re: Firefly-esque WH40K?
Actually I think Lighthawks character is doubling as one. My Scum has basic Medicae.
For the hardcore doctor, I'm pretty sure it's Adept that has Medicae, Medicae +10 and Master Chirugeon.
