The Floor is Open

Well, here's the new forum, for now. The main thing here is that people will be able to moderate their own forums if they want to run a game (or three). Just send me a request; I'll make you a GM, and set up permissions for the forum related to the game in question.

No global moderators to start; I don't imagine they'll be needed.

Lighthawk, you mind if I copy the Paranoia stuff over here in case we ever get that started again? I thought it was pretty cool, personally.

You know what might help get things started is a place for general forum type games. Give people something easy to do and pass time while the more serious games get set up.

There's also an "RPG widget", whatever that means. It has a built-in dice roller, though, so I might try to get that set up.

The ban game, in which you try to come up with the most outrageous reasons the person who last posted in the thread deserves to be banned

Corrupt a Wish, First poster wishes for something, next poster grants it but with a twist that follows the letter of the wish but runs against the spirit. That person then follows up with their own wish and the next poster repeats the process

^>v game. You make a statement about the last poster (the ^) then about yourself (the >) and then finally about the next poster (the v). Creatively tying all three together is the challenge

Stuff like that. Gives us stuff to do here for the moment, and once the games are going they'll be a way to kill time while waiting for that inevitable slow ass you need to let post before moving on.

So far, I am really liking the set up.

However, is there an indicator that shows a new post? It may do so anyway, but I'm blind and if its a similar colour to green there is no hope of me seeing it.

It puts a little white check mark in the small black box in the top left corner of the little icon. Look at the bottom of the main page; it shows the various icons.

Not exactly; I just thought it would be wise to move the gaming to a new forum free of strife and posturing.

Though, I have the feeling that an implosion is imminent over there.
