B5 sign up
So this is for the B5 sim and for those interested. There will be no Shadow/Vorlon or any other uber race. Races are restricted to "Young Ones" only. State your preference and we'll work out who gets who. This sim is not going to be right away so don't feel rushed.

I'll just edit this post from time to time to keep up with player changes.

Re: B5 sign up
I still want to play as the Vree.
I can GM and play; it's not like I picked a powerful race.

Re: B5 sign up
I'm so up for the Minbari. Or the Centauri, either way. As a third choice...the Brakiri?

I put up the current bids. I figure everyone gets two to start and then we can shift around if we want.

Re: B5 sign up
So I finally added Aaron in, but so far we only have four players involved and I think we need at least two more for a really good game.
Re: B5 sign up
So I talked with Tsu and the basis of the Sim is going to be the end of the Earth/Minbari War. Everyone will then have ten years to build up their faction how they feel. Major powers like the Minbari, EA, Narn, Centari, Dilgar will have specific racial traits for their player to handle. Some of these will be good, others bad. These factions will have to play their characters according to the IC basis of the show. The lesser known powers will have a more free hand in how they handle issues.
IC faction talks will happen in a few ways. First being that everyone's ambassadors will be on B5. If B5 is a neutral location under the GM or if its joint control by the EA/MF or just the EA hasn't been decided yet. But regardless, this means that dealings can be carried out in any fashion shown on the show. This means you can deal behind the scenes or you can yell and shout in the council chamber.
The next important detail will be ship numbers and placement. This is still under work but ships will be in far shorter numbers then in the SW or ST sims. Few enough that a player could in fact name all their capital ships and name their escort squadrons without any real trouble.
Finally is travel. While turns are likely to be 1 month periods in peace time, during war they'll slow down to 1 week. Unlike the ST sim, there won't be any leaving a system and having your ships rush across the galaxy to reinforce a system. Defensive deployments will become very important. Losing ships will mean a major problem for players since it will take a lot of turns to replace those ships.
Politics, diplomacy, trade and long term planning are going to be VERY important in this sim. So feel free to scream and yell if you feel the need. Tsu will gladly take it!

Re: B5 sign up
I still have no idea how to make the spreadsheets do what Big did, and with school starting back up, I really don't have the time to learn it.
